Flamenco Guitarist
When the strings speak, the soul answers.
About
Antonio Segura is a guitarist, composer, arranger and teacher from Seville. Passionate about the guitar since the age of 11, he trained alongside major figures of flamenco such as Isidoro Carmona, Mario Escudero, Pedro Escalona and Rafael Moreno, developing early on an artistic identity deeply rooted in flamenco tradition while remaining open to the influences of the world.
Throughout his career, Antonio Segura has composed, arranged and produced numerous musical and artistic projects. His journey has led him to collaborate with artists from diverse backgrounds and to take part in numerous international tours, building bridges between flamenco, jazz and Eastern music.
Between 1992 and 1994, he deepened his study of harmony, music theory and arrangement at the Jazz Studio in Antwerp. Alongside his work as a performer, he also composes for theatre, film and audiovisual media.
His talent has taken him to the stages of prestigious festivals: the Brussels International Guitar Festival, Festival Flamenco Bozar, JakJazz Jakarta, Tomorrowland, Couleur Café, Sadler's Wells in London, Festival Azul Marseille, and many others in Belgium and abroad.
A respected teacher, Antonio Segura teaches at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (BaRR section) and at Muziekpublique. Today, his own project OLEO holds a central place in his artistic work, and he is also part of the company "We Call It Flamenco" (Fever).
Throughout his career, he has shared the stage and collaborated, among others, with Leonardo Amuedo, Michel Hatzigeorgiu, Nicolas Fiszman, Sara Sanchez, David El Galli, Antonio Amaya Marote, Chema del Estad, José Rapico, Alaa Zouiten, Fernando Lameirinhas, Juan Granados, Camarón de Pitita, Sandip Banerjee, Juan Pablo Dobal, Nono Garcia, Chano Domínguez, François Garny, Bert Gielen, Manu Hermia, Olivier Bodson and Adrien Verderamme.

OLEO is a flamenco-jazz trio that conveys and shares the soul and emotion of its origins. Each piece is composed and arranged for flamenco guitar (Antonio Segura — Spain), electric bass (Serge Dacosse — Belgium) and ethnic percussion (Chema Del Estad — Spain), forming a powerful instrumental trio that connects directly with the audience.
The idea revolves around flamenco, not simply in a musical sense, but as an all-consuming passion — an original, primal essence that fuses tradition and improvisation.
